To our valued customers and partners,
Team Construction is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and this risk it poses to our employees, customers, and subcontractors. Team Construction began implementing policies in early March to protect our employees’ health and minimize the spread of COVID-19. Steps taken include adding hand washing stations on all job sites, working remotely, and implementing strict hygiene and social distancing measures. Any employee who is ill has been asked to stay at home and not come to work.
We are monitoring this situation day by day and taking steps in our personal and professional lives to protect our families, our business and our ability to serve you. We have contingency plans in place to adapt to a wide range of scenarios moving forward, and we will provide updates as developments occur.
Governors both in the State of Washington and the State of Oregon have issued stay at home proclamations for all non-essential businesses. The only projects that we are currently working on are considered essential businesses. Examples are as follows:
- Workers supporting groceries, pharmacies, and other retail that sells food and beverage products, including but not limited to Grocery stores, Corner stores and convenience stores, including liquor stores that sell food, Farmers’ markets, Food banks, Farm and produce stands, Supermarkets, Similar food retail establishments, Big box stores that sell groceries and essentials.
- Restaurant carry-out and quick serve food operations – including food preparation, carry-out and delivery food employees
- Workers who are needed to process and maintain systems for processing financial transactions and services (e.g., payment, clearing, and settlement; wholesale funding; insurance services; and capital markets activities)
- Workers who are needed to provide consumer access to banking and lending services, including ATMs, and to move currency and payments (e.g., armored cash carriers)
- To further a public purpose related to a public entity or governmental function or facility, including but not limited to publicly financed low-income housing; or
- Construction workers who support the construction, operation, inspection, and maintenance of construction sites and construction projects (including housing construction) for all essential facilities, services and projects included in this document, and for residential construction related to emergency repairs and projects that ensure structural integrity.
Our goal is to continue building for essential businesses such as low income housing projects, shelters, financial institutions, convenience stores, and restaurants while taking every necessary action to keep our employees safe and minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Thank you for your continued support,
Team Construction
